How are these guides different from the books and magazines I’ve read?
There are great organizing books out there, but they’re long and involved. My guides are approachable, short, and to the point. You’ll also find plenty of pictures to give you examples of the concepts I’m introducing.
I suggest reading them as you go along through your organizing project because they’re filled with things I say when I’m working alongside a client. The guides truly are the closest thing to having me there with you if you aren’t ready to hire a professional yet.
Shouldn’t I be able to get organized on my own?
We all have blind spots, and they’re hard to see without the support of someone else. My clients often feel shame because they think they should already know how to organize their spaces, but this is a skill you have to learn. Let me guide you through it!
I don’t think this will work for me…
Organizing is different for everyone. My approach doesn’t tell you an exact way to organize but rather points out different ways you can approach your space so you can experience AHA moments that change your way of thinking. One truly great AHA moment is worth the price of these guides, don’t you think? Imagine when you have several, and your perception of getting organized changes…
How much time will it take?
This varies for every person and every home. But consider how much time and energy you’ve lost to the clutter around you… These guides are designed so you can go at your own pace and promote progress — not perfection.
Are any of the guides religious?
No. The guide Creating a Sacred Space is not faith-based and discusses creating a sacred space for YOU. There is clear evidence that a regular practice of quiet time (with or without intentional meditation or prayer) has a lasting positive impact on your well-being.
I believe it’s important to have a space in your home that fills you up, restores you, and helps you live a peaceful life — religious or otherwise!
